Material Handler Baton Rouge, LA, USA Req #422 Monday, July 31, 2023 Summary EMR USA has an opening for a Material Handler Operator.
In this role, the Operator will operate a material handler or excavator to move metal throughout the yard.
To be successful, the Operator must be able to work independently to accomplish daily tasks.
Ultimately, an operator is a team player and possesses a strong work ethic.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Operates material handler and/or grapple crane to move material Complete all required daily equipment reports Perform daily maintenance and inspection on equipment Adhere to operating and health and safety protocols Perform other duties as assigned Required Skills / Abilities Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to handle stressful situations, manage time and multitask Education & Experience Previous experience using a material handler and/or grapple crane a plus High school diploma or GED preferred Other Job Demands While performing the essential functions of this job, the Material Handler Operator will be working in an outdoor environment.
The employee may be near moving mechanical parts and will be exposed to all weather conditions.
The noise level in the environment can be loud and will require ear protection.
The employee is required to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
This job also requires frequent bending, kneeling, and standing, lifting up to 50 lbs.
